¡GRACIAS!

November 22, 2020 – 22q11 Awareness Day
Buildings from different countries have been iluminated to the 22q11 Syndrome

Last Sunday, November 22, we celebrated one more year the 22q11 Awareness Day, and for this, from many European countries and from USA we have wanted to give visibility to this day by illuminating the most emblematic buildings of our cities within the framework of the #Lucesporel22q #Lightingthe22q campaign that we have been doing since 2018.
This year we have surpassed ourselves and in Spain we have managed to illuminate more than 40 buildings and that many media and other collaborating entities give a voice to people with 22q11 Syndrome through their publications and social networks.

These buildings include the Palma de Mallorca City Council, the Congress of Deputies, La Torre Realia and the Cibeles Fountain in the Community of Madrid, the Santander City Council and CASYC, the Town Hall of the Canary Islands, the Windmills in Ciudad Real, the Millennium Dome in Valladolid, the Fountain of Santo Domingo and the City Hall of San Andrés de Rabanedo in León, the Torre Glóries and the City Council of Terrasa in Catalonia, the Puente Real and the Walls of Badajoz ... and many more!

Thanks to all the people, families, professionals, entities, the media and institutions that have made it possible for the 22q11 Syndrome to be made visible on this special day, a very common but little known genetic abnormality.

We know that 2020 is being a difficult year for everyone and we really want to be able to enjoy our activities together with all of you, we know that this day has been different but in the distance we have felt you by our side.

For this reason, from the 22q11 Syndrome Association we want to send a strong and warm hug to all people with 22q11 Syndrome and their families, we continue to work every day to improve the quality of life and defend the rights of people with 22q11 Syndrome and those of their relatives.

Thanks again!
